Me and Nelda is twins, with me bein’ the elder by four minutes. We married the Cray brothers — I married Earl and she married Ellis. We lost them both in the great flood of ’04 as they tried to rescue some equipment in which they had a substantial investment. All we ever found was a little copper tubing, Ellis’s shotgun, which we new keep in the umbrella stand, and Earl’s whittlin’ knife.
We live with Mother Cray, who spends most of her days nappin’ and our blue tick hound, Rufus.
The young ‘uns — my two boys and three girls and Nelda’s four boys and a girl — are all moved out and we enjoy visits from our 26 grandchildren, who help us with all this computer stuff.
Nelda is out getting the herb bed ready to be planted. She’ll talk more about herself later.
